VOX / IN CAMERA is a classical music calendar, reviews & previews
of events in northeast New York & western New England .
- 2007-2008 marks the 13th
year of VOX's existence, originally hard copy, since 1997 online.
- I welcome comments, including
reviews. Diversity and competition are good.
- My main interests are choral
& chamber music, hence "VOX" (Voice) & "IN CAMERA"
(In Chamber).
- My purpose is to provide
timely, comprehensive & accurate information on classical music
in the area.
- My reviews are not gospel
truth. I have my biases, e.g. almost anything by Bach, Haydn, Mozart,
Beethoven, & Brahms, piano, cello & viola, bass-baritone &
alto or mezzo-soprano.
- I am not infallible. I rely
on my two good ears. I try to "tell it as it is" & not
parrot what others say. I also try to consider the audience's point
of view.
